Weight Loss / Maintenance
Losing weight and keeping it off is not an easy task. It takes self-discipline, will power, and lots of motivation. With a personal trainer, you can finally take the guesswork out of the equation and simply follow my personalized program. Typical programs include a balanced nutrition plan, an additional exercise program (beyond our training sessions), and unlimited email and phone support.
As Health & Fitness Manager at the Edward A Myerberg Center, I have several years of experience working with the older adult. Medical history is taken into consideration when designing an exercise program. I have experience with post-therapy exercise programs, as prescribed by a Physical Therapist. My workouts incorporate appropriate modifications and techniques to prevent muscle deterioration, improve bone strength, improve balance and coordination, and boost quality of life.
Boxing for Parkinson’s – Rock Steady Boxing
Boxing works by moving your body in all planes of motion while continuously changing the routine as you progress through the workout. It requires balance, agility, speed, and coordination, which can all be obtained through repeated boxing classes. These classes have proven that anyone, at any level of Parkinson’s, can actually lessen their symptoms and lead a healthier/happier life.
